I was exposed to architecture and design at a young age. I grew up in Palos Verdes and was always seeing amazing homes throughout the region.
“After college, I interned for several notable architecture firms in Los Angeles before opening my own firm in the South Bay,” says Joe Spierer, principal, Joseph Spierer Architects, Inc.
The coastal cities from Venice to Manhattan Beach have become home to hundreds of companies of the burgeoning tech industry. “We have been working with many of its residents to create a variety of coastal residences from urban modern to Cape Cod traditional,” Spierer says. “And we are always staying up-to-date on cutting edge resources and technology for ‘Silicon Beach’ homeowners and investors.”
Spierer draws much of his inspiration from iconic architecture. “For example, I’ve studied the thought and design processes that Richard Meier went through to develop the Getty Museum into a stunning piece of original architecture,” says Spierer.
Throughout the South Bay, Spierer has developed a reputation for harmoniously blending indoor and outdoor spaces and making best use of the spectacular views for which the area is known.
